Grabbing produce that is ripe and in-season is a great way to maintain a healthy diet this fall! Some of our favorites include squash, broccoli, grapes, and radicchio!
The Almighty Pumpkin
Fall is huge for pumpkins, (and most gourds for that matter.) Carving up these fall-favorites is a great indoor activity on a rainy day, but baking and adding a little salt to pumpkin seeds are a nutritious snack. You can also bake pumpkin halves and create a home-made pumpkin puree for your next pumpkin pie!
Fall is for Apples
You can’t have autumn without apples. Seriously, if you have a chance this fall, go apple picking. There are a ton of different apple varieties that are in peak form during the fall months. Apple’s also have a ton of different uses. Apple cider, apple juice, apple pie, apple fritters, apple turnover, caramel apple, baked apples. The list goes on and on. Just remember: An apple a day keeps the doctor away.
