
Salsa Verde Chicken Tacos Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp. Olive Oil
- 1 Yellow Onion, diced
- 3 Cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 lb. Chicken Breasts
- ½ tsp. Salt
- 1 tsp. Cumin
- 1 tsp. Chili Powder
- ½ tsp. Oregano
- 1 c. Chicken Broth
- 12.5oz (1 bottle) Sky Valley Salsa Verde Sauce
- Tortillas
For topping: Sky Valley Taco sauce, queso fresco, avocado, cilantro, jalapeño slices
Directions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium. Add onion and sauté for 3-5 minutes. Add garlic and continue cooking for 1-2 minutes.
- Add salt, cumin, chili powder and oregano and stir to coat. Add chicken, broth and salsa verde sauce and stir. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover the pot and simmer for 30-45 minutes. Once chicken is cooked through, use two forks to shred.
- Serve chicken in warmed corn tortillas. Top with Sky Valley Taco sauce, queso fresco, avocado, cilantro, etc.
