Salsa Verde Chicken Tacos Recipe

Salsa Verde Chicken Tacos are a delicious summer meal. Enjoy taco night with the bold, adventurous flavor of Sky Valley Salsa Verde and Taco sauces!

  • 1 tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 1 Yellow Onion, diced
  • 3 Cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 lb. Chicken Breasts
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • 1 tsp. Cumin
  • 1 tsp. Chili Powder
  • ½ tsp. Oregano
  • 1 c. Chicken Broth
  • 12.5oz (1 bottle) Sky Valley Salsa Verde Sauce
  • Tortillas

For topping: Sky Valley Taco sauce, queso fresco, avocado, cilantro, jalapeño slices

Products you'll need
  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium. Add onion and sauté for 3-5 minutes. Add garlic and continue cooking for 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add salt, cumin, chili powder and oregano and stir to coat. Add chicken, broth and salsa verde sauce and stir. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover the pot and simmer for 30-45 minutes. Once chicken is cooked through, use two forks to shred.
  3. Serve chicken in warmed corn tortillas. Top with Sky Valley Taco sauce, queso fresco, avocado, cilantro, etc.
